In an effort to retain our community advised and lessen confusion about important matters, I am delivering frequent revisions and truthful info on appropriate topics affecting the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS). Lately, a lot was heard by I???ve in Ocean City about proms. Please share safety related info with pupils and parents:
Prom Security
We are at the center of prom year and all County public schools provide after- prom pursuits, financed #8217 & by the universities; guardian-educator organizations. Both prom people -attenders are pleasant to be involved in – prom festivals. Some students have now been associated with increasing funds for these occasions through programs such as the neighborhood- backed County Invitational Swim Meet.
The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) associates with HC DrugFree to promote booze/drug-safety, and HC DrugFree makes displays for parents & teens at highschools throughout the year. To advertise alcohol/drug-safety while in the faculties through their Teen Advisory Group they include individuals. HC DrugFree sponsors an HC DrugFree group in the HCPSS-paid HoCo Film Fest (scholar-developed movie opposition).

I know everyone encourages young people to ???play it safe??? during senior week activities. Like the Howard County pursuits, the ???Play It Safe??? system in Water City vendors drug-free and specific booze events in June for senior school graduates remembering about the coast. The Safe software web page that is Play It has info for parents.
HC DrugFree presented Week : Staying Safe in Ocean City??? classes for teenagers and parents this spring. Examine HCPSS Media for ads of any extra sessions.
There are lots of safety related troubles before parents agree to permit their seniors to spend per week to contemplate unsupervised everywhere. In the beach, we must consult with teens about water protection, taking advantage of companies and protected routines, including the $5 Senior Week bus-pass in Ocean City, unsatisfactory drinking and applying crosswalks to securely mix roads.
